Life Coaching is about giving yourself the gift of support. It’s a space where you get to pause and reflect on what’s important to you. When dealing with challenges, Coaching helps you find clarity. The noise of the world can be loud so working with a coach clears away all the unnecessary noise so you can focus on what really matters, finding a way forward that feels right for you and ultimately helps you survive and even thrive from that challenge.
A Coach is a companion, a sounding board, a hand on your back, there for you but empowering you to choose the way. We offer feedback, insights, guidance, tools but all the while checking what sits best with you. It’s about guiding you home to your true nature and reminding you who you are. It’s all too easy to forget, especially when in the midst of life’s challenges, when you can get pulled into the dramas of other people’s opinions, judgements, behaviours.
My approach is to remind you to stay in your lane. Focus on the road ahead and on the ground beneath you and fill it with possibilities and adventures and the knowing that you stand tall and strong and are very capable of dealing with the hurdles that are naturally a part of Life. You cannot change other people, other people’s behaviour and you cannot worry a challenge away. Coaching is about empowering you to deal with these challenges, all the while building resilience and an unwavering confidence in your own ability. From that place of strength, you will always have your back.
My belief personally, is that to struggle and fight and resist is to only prolong the pain and suffering. To see a situation for what it is and accept that it is what it is, and you are where you are. That place brings a softness, a pliability, a place from where you can create a plan.
In my own life, I work the problem. There is always space given for the emotional, physical, psychological pain to be processed, felt and released. That pain and those emotions are real and need time and they will come like waves washing over a shore, in their own time, on their own schedule. Once you see them, acknowledge them, hold space for them, you will get more comfortable in their company and they will eventually soften and even become a driving force, motivating you to work the problem.
Every time you overcome a challenge, you add to that inner knowing that you are able, capable and strong in the face of adversity.
I hold space for it all in our sessions. It is all welcome. I look forward to settling in and together, we will work the problem.
